Cuero
- Cuero, located 28 miles from Victoria, is the smallest town in which we provide care. The story of our establishing a community there is unique. Sodalis Cuero exists because of the vision of a retired physician whose wife was in our care in Victoria. This physician and others in the community encouraged us to explore building a community in Cuero.
Initially we wondered if there was a great enough need in Cuero to support a community like ours. We quickly discovered not only a true need, but a wonderful, vibrant, close-knit community that has been incredibly supportive. Sodalis Cuero opened it's Memory Care Community in April of 2011 and an Assisted Living community opened in June of 2011. Ricky Reeves is the Community Manager for Sodalis of Cuero. Prior to joining Sodalis, he performed administrative duties for Regency Nursing and Rehabilitation of Victoria, serving in the Port Lavaca, Cuero, and Yoakum facilities. Ricky has over 30 years of experience in sales and personnel management.
Born and raised in the state of Georgia, Ricky graduated from LaGrange College in 1975, lettering in both basketball & golf. Fond of all sports, Ricky spent 15 years coaching basketball and recruiting at the collegiate level. He’s an avid golfer to this day.
He and his wife Kim, along with daughter Anna, live in Victoria Texas. Their son Preston resides in Southern Pines, North Carolina. - Brandy Simpson - Brandy@sodaliselderliving.com
Brandy Simpson was born and raised in Victoria TX. She is the proud mother of four children, and she loves spending time with her family and being outdoors near the lake or river.
Brandy moved to Cuero in 2010 and has been employed by Sodalis in Cuero since it opened in 2011. She feels the residents are her extended family and they have made a tremendous impact in her life. Brandy works hard to ensure she can make a difference in their lives as well. Brandy will always put other's needs before her own, going the extra mile to make sure the “resident family” is happy and healthy.
